Today, we went to the Oaks race at Churchill Downs with our good friends John, Angie, Josh and Kelly. The Oaks race is the big race the day before the Derby. It was a cloudy day, but thankfully, the rain held off for most of the day. We had a great time, although we didn't win any money. I guess picking pretty horses or horses with cool names instead of paying attention to the "stats" isn't the best strategy. Oops! :) Oh well! We had fun anyway. I had never been to Churchill Downs before, so it was neat to see and be a part of. Off to Lowe's, our second home to attempt to finish the basement. Tune into the Derby later and have a Mint Julep for me! Who do you want to win?
